ABC 3 course New Year Dinner - Apologies, Menu and New date TBC

On behalf of Alfreton Business Club please accept my sincere apologies for the late notice that our New Year Dinner booked for the 19th January at Made @ No.18, for various reasons will have to be re-arranged.

This decision has been made due to circumstances including, my tardiness in getting the menus out to ABC members (sorry), and also work and family reasons which mean that the significant majority of the Club Committee cannot attend the dinner. Whilst the latter may not appear on the face of it too much of an issue the evening does have to be hosted and it would be unfortunate if the individuals who give up their time to help run the Club could not attend the Club dinner.

 I have spoken with David Taylor at the restaurant and he is happy for us to arrange a mutually convenient date in the near future which will probably be in February or early March depending on his staff availability. We are looking at midweek dates, primarily Wednesdays and Thursdays.

 We may even have live music whilst we dine if David’s musician friends are available on the date we book.

 I understand that this short notice will be inconvenient for some of you though hopefully you will still be able to make the revised date when known.

 Please find the menu for the New Year Dinner below, it is a three course dinner, including coffee and a glass of bubbly for £25. As stated at our meetings all ABC members who pay by direct debit or standing order will receive a £10 discount on their own booking though of course all partners and guests are welcome.

 A spreadsheet for your booking is attached to this email and can be downloaded by clicking herewhich should be completed and returned to info@alfretonbusinessclub.co.uk no later than the 1st of February, also the date of the next ABC Networking Meeting.

New Year Dinner 2017

STARTERS

Homemade soup of the day served with warm Ciabatta

Chicken liver parfait with an apple and ale chutney and toasted walnut bread

Crispy fried Cornish brie, served with mixed leaves and cranberry relish

Tomato, pine nut and basil bruschetta

 

MAINS

Griddled 8oz sirloin, served with tomato, field mushrooms, onion rings, hand cut chips and a brandy and peppercorn sauce.

Chicken fillet topped with melted stilton, on a bed of sautéed cabbage and bacon with a port and red wine jus

Oven baked salmon fillet, topped with a parmesan and herb crumb served with basil hollandaise

Brie, chestnut and cranberry wellington, with balsamic glazed beetroot and onion jam

 

All served with seasonal accompaniments

Caramelised Banoffee pie
Sticky syrup sponge with Christmas pudding ice-cream
Warm chocolate tart served with winter berry compote
White chocolate and raspberry Eton mess
